Editing
I offer three types of editing:
- Content editing considers big-picture issues such as structure, logic, pacing, and readability. I provide feedback about what works and detailed suggestions for how to fix what doesn’t.
- Copyediting corrects mechanical issues such as spelling, grammar, punctuation, and cross-references. The goal of copyediting is consistency and accuracy throughout your manuscript.
- Line editing includes all aspects of copyediting, plus special attention to stylistic elements such as word choice, phrasing, tone, and flow.
Project Management
From planning and content creation to editing, formatting, and production, I will shepherd your project from start to finish, keeping a close eye on quality, time, and budget. I handle all kinds of editorial projects: newsletters, reports, books, brochures, white papers, and more.
Writing
Whether you need content for your website, print publication, or email campaign, I can help. Writing projects include profiles, Q&As, blog posts, case studies, summaries, and feature stories.
Rewriting
Do you have text that needs to be revised and prepared for a new format? Have a writing project that’s been sidelined, abandoned, or otherwise in need of some TLC? I’ll start with the original and generate a final product that meets your standards.
A Note about Rates
My rates depend on the scope and nature of the project. I will provide an estimate for your project after I’ve had a chance to talk with you about the job and, for editing projects, after I’ve seen a sample of the work to be edited.
If I can’t help you, it’s likely that I know someone who can! I’m happy to do some brainstorming with you or make recommendations. Just ask.
